The Minority Cell, established in 2014, is dedicated to addressing the concerns of minority communities. This cell plays a crucial role in implementing the National Policy on Education (NPE) 1986 and the Programme of Action (POA) 1992.
Aided Schools has long been committed to providing education to Muslim children through alternative schooling, which is recognized and certified. The Minority Cell has emerged as a key instrument for Policy Intervention by the Government of India, aiming to enhance educational access for Muslim Minorities at the school level, aligning with the recommendations of the Sachar Committee and the Prime Minister's 15 Point Programme.
The Minority Cell of Aided Schools grants accreditation based on relaxed norms specially designed for Minority Institutions. This initiative has facilitated the integration of traditional educational institutions of Muslims, such as Madarassas, Maktabs, and Darul-Ul-Ulooms, into mainstream education. The Minority Cell conducts regular advocacy programs to secure accreditation for minority educational institutes.
